The Jubilee Time Capsule is a social archive to celebrate the 60 years of Queen Elizabeths reign. Capsool are honoured to have joined forces with the Royal Commonwealth Society to create a huge archive of life in the Commonwealth between 1952 and 2012.
The Jubilee Time Capsule is designed to capture the stories of the last 60 years from around the Commonwealth. Each day is represented on the timeline and it is easy to pick a day and add your story using images, video, audio and text. It might be your birthday, the day your parents were married, the day you emigrated, the day of the Indonesian tsunami, the day Nelson Mandela was freed or when Manchester United won the European Cup for the first time.
These are your stories, our stories and together they will become a valuable social archive of the Queen’s reign that people from across the world will look back on. It is a unique celebration of Commonwealth life.
In June next year, content from the Jubilee Time Capsule will be used in the Jubilee celebrations in the UK and across the Commonwealth. Your story could end up being told to millions of people!
So, jump over to the Jubilee Time Capsule to tell us your stories. Just pick a day and tell us what happened.
